Personalisasi Desktop Dengan Desktop Architect. Sebenarnya secara default, Windows telah menyediakan pengaturan untuk desktop ini melalui menu (jendela) Display Properties di mana menu tersebut dapat diakses melalui [Start]>>[Control Panel] >> Display. Selain pengaturan Desktop, display properties juga digunakan untuk pengaturan Themes, Screensaver, Appearance, Settings.

Selain melalui Display Properties, kita dapat melakukan pengaturan Desktop dengan menggunakan freeware yang memang khusus disediakan untuk tujuan tersebut. Adalah Desktop Architect yang sekarang telah mencapai versi 2.11 dapat kita gunakan untuk melakukan personalisasi (kustomasi) atau otak-otak atas desktop PC kita.

Dengan freeware tersebut, kita dapat melakukan otak-otak semua elemen desktop, antara lain Wallpaper, Sounds, Icons, Pointers, Appearance, Web, juga animated logo preview.

Setelah melakukan personalisasi, kita dapat langsung menerapkan pada desktop kita dengan cara mengklik menu “Apply”. Namun jika hanya ingin menyimpannya, kita juga dapat menyimpannya di folder dengan “save as”.
